Matrixyl - is this peptide the fountain of youth?

Matrixyl came to fame 10 years ago, when it's effects were shown in a BBC Horizon documentary. Their intention was to discover if any anti-ageing ingredients perform as well as Tretinoin (Retinol).  It just happened that Manchester University were testing a product that contained Matrixyl, which was proving to show results.  Hence, the BBC Horizon programme focused on Boots No7 Protect & Perfect serum, which contains Matrixyl, in synergy with an anti-oxidant blend.  Procter and Gamble were also featured, as they too used it.  Their in-house testing facilities looked impressive and convincing on camera.

As long as Matrixyl is used in the clinically tested concentrations, it will likely have excellent results.  If like our formulations, Matrixyl is combined with other clinically tested ingredients, you can expect even better results.  Insiders confidentially say that Boots were a bit concerned that the results of the testing would not be convincing -- it's said that the results were only just good enough.  By all accounts, Protect & Perfect was due to be discontinued, because of poor sales.  It would have been, but for the BBC Horizon programme, that catapulted it to stratospheric success. Overnight they went out of stock and that single programme, made a humongous difference to the sales and profit of the Boots Corporation.

It's the 10th anniversary of that programme this year and Boots are buying up advertising, paying digital influencers and magazines, to use, endorse and promote their products. Those are BIG sales numbers to anniversary and USA's Walgreens who own Boots will be expecting sales and profit increases.

You might be interested to know that all the products in the MERUMAYA® range were created under the guidance of Professor Karl Lintner, who is the genius behind the creation of Matrixyl.  And, that the team of scientists I work with, includes people who were on the 'inside' of the Protect & Perfect formulation, including the anti-oxidant blend (that was patented).  One even said to me, 'Maleka, your formulas walk all over theirs'.  So, you can be confident in our formulas out performing competitors, regardless of price.

What is Matrixyl?

retinol resurfacing kitMatrixyl works to promote the growth of collagen and several other important proteins, such as elastin to repair wrinkles and other signs of skin ageing. Matrixyl is part of the pentapeptide family. It contains five amino acids, small enough to penetrate through the outer layer of your skin and stimulate collagen production. Collagen is a naturally occurring protein found in the skin, that gives it elasticity and tone.  Collagen, Elastin, Fibrilin and other proteins in the skin, deplete as we age. Matrixyl combines peptides and restores skin’s youthful metabolism, by simulating synthesis of Collagen-I, -IV, -VII, -XVII, Elastin and
Hyaluronic Acid.  Peptides are generally small fragments of proteins, that have their own ability to interact with and help the skin look more youthful. At MERUMAYA® use both types of Matrixyl for best results. Our Retinol Resurfacing Treatment™ (for night time) and Youth Preservation Moisturiser™ SPF20. Look at the clinical results of Martrixyl and tell me your are not impressed and want some now!

Using both these products gives you a full concentration dose of Matrixyl, day and night.
